City Vision is nationally accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), which is recognized by the US Department of Education and CHEA. The US Department of Education does not recognize a distinction between regional and national accreditation in its standards and recently stated, “The Department does not believe…that rejecting transfer credits, an application for admission to graduate school, or a request to sit for a State occupational licensing exam on the basis of the type of Department recognized accreditation is justified.”
At times, one might even meet with active resistance from the establishment, whatever that establishment might be. For example, in lifetime, mobile hand-held communication devices went from Star Trek science fiction to commonplace devices.  For this to happen, however, it took a three-year federal court case end a one hundred-year-old government supported monopoly to make it happen. That required perseverance.
Strive Masiyiwa is a mobile telecoms giant and Zimbabwe’s richest man. He is the founder of Econet Wireless, a company that provides telecommunication services to more than 15 countries on and beyond the African continent. His initial attempts to begin in entrepreneurship were met with hostility from his government, which had a monopoly on communications services at the time. Eventually the government conceded, and demand for his product exploded. Masiyiwa told Forbes magazine that praying hard and giving back are two key elements to his entrepreneurial strategies. To complement this, he also co-runs a Christian charity that has sponsored education, food, and healthcare for more than 28,000 Zimbabwean orphans.
Many entrepreneurs desire to become financially independent in order to care for their families, give to the needy, and fund missionary ventures. They have an idea, locate the funds to begin, and take on the responsibility for managing their own companies. When the motivation is honorable, and the business is honorable, God delights to bless it (Psalm 37:23). When an entrepreneur’s motive is selfish or sin-based, the business will not enjoy God’s blessing and may become a hindrance to God’s best plan for the owner’s life. As with all decisions, Christian must seek wisdom from the Lord before taking that first step in establishing a business (James 1:5). Part of wisdom is planning ahead (see Luke 14:28–29). When wisdom says it is a good idea, when all costs have been counted and the priorities are straight, entrepreneurship can be a benefit to the entrepreneur and to the world.
Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:6-9)

Does just being a “religious” owner of a company mean that you get to declare your business to be faith-based? Now, as new lawsuits against the mandate pile up, the correlation of what constitutes a religious business is getting more tenuous. A recent press release announcing yet another suit says it is being filed by a “faith-based car dealership” that says its religious beliefs are being violated by being forced to cover contraception in their health care plans.
Well what do you reckon on this? When my wife and I moved to a different area in England and attended (for the first time!!) a new Church where we knew nobody (over 100 miles from where we had previously lived!!) a talk “A Church Jesus Would Go To ” (also down for the weekend was my mother in law!!!) I got a word of knowledge regarding a gift of extreme creative entrepreneur thinking that had been given me and it should be harnessed. Now the Church (the same Church we attended for the talk) to this day we are still members of and my wife regularly attends is an Anglican Church, holy spirit lead and filled with level headed, sensible followers of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I had the option to believe this or reject it. I have chosen to believe it and hope this can encourage other christain entrepreneurs “to stick in there”. Pray about your new venture , about if it aligns with God’s purpose for your life OR do reject it (your choice !!!)…… OR be obedient and be lead by God and forge ahead with God leading. In my heart of hearts I believe Jesus uses us in all ways to spread his word and being in business is just another way we should embrace

It’s a question that came to the forefront with Eden Foods, a self-proclaimed “faith-based” business challenging the contraception mandate. Although the owner filed suit out of religious objection to covering birth control, he admitted to reporter Irin Carmon he really didn’t care one way or the other, he just didn’t want to pay for it. “Because I don’t care if the federal government is telling me to buy my employees Jack Daniel’s or birth control. What gives them the right to tell me that I have to do that? That’s my issue, that’s what I object to, and that’s the beginning and end of the story.”
